Lift Engineer - Bristol Area

We are currently seeking a Lift Engineer to work for our growing, family run business based in Yate, South Gloucestershire.

This opportunity would suit a candidate who has an extensive knowledge of stairlift installation, together with service and repair. Experience with through floor lifts and step lifts is also recommended.

This is a key role within the company, as this is an area within the business which is currently expanding.

TVM Cheltenham has been operating for 21 years within the mobility industry. We have a friendly and dedicated team who provide a key service within the community. Our main operating areas are Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Gloucestershire.

About the role

The position is available for immediate start and will involve:

• working as part of the installation team, with responsibility for the installation of stairlifts, through floor lifts and step lifts.
• maintaining a variety of equipment as part of our ongoing service / repair schedules. This will include lifts, in addition to hoisting equipment (for which training will be given if necessary.)
• ensuring all reports relating to the role are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
• participation in company on call rota (providing out of hours coverage.)

Essential Skills

We need someone who can demonstrate the following:

• a good level of experience of installing lifting equipment, including stairlifts
• the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
• an understanding of the requirements of our clients
• a high level of attention to detail and the capability to work accurately
• the ability to complete engineers reports accurately and in a timely manner
• willingness and capacity to learn new skills

Other requirements:

• Full clean driving license.
• You will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Additional Information:

• Permanent Full -Time position
• Basic Salary between £28,000 - £31,000, depending on experience
• Overtime paid in addition
• Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, inclusive of 30 mins lunch break
• 20 days holiday entitlement plus Bank Holidays (increasing after 2 years service)
