Field based Trade Counter Sales Development Representative

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Trade Counter Sales Representative (Field Based) to manage existing accounts and develop new business for our soon-to-be refurbished and expanded Trade Counter.

You’ll inherit a significant customer base of Commercial Flooring Contractors, Shop Fitters, Sole Traders and Construction Project Managers and our goal is to grow business with new and existing customers.

As the fast-growing construction market evolves at pace, your role will be to keep at the forefront of the market and new projects – spotting and leveraging opportunities to grow sales with existing products and customers; and proactively creating openings to sell in products and bring new customers on board.

You’ll have all the tools to do the job: the broadest and best ranges, great delivery support and top-class customer service. From there it’s down to you! You’ll need to leverage your commerciality, customer relationship building skills, tenacity and drive to build and grow the area.

Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing your own time and delivering additional Trade Counter business monitoring monthly sales/ profitability/pricing/margin and costs.
  • Building relationships with new and existing customers; advising and influencing them on the best solutions and growing sales.
  • Cleverly utilising technical knowledge and solution selling to introduce customers to new products and ranges and drive incremental sales.
  • Managing customer pricing quotations and terms to reflect the complexity of products, price points, volumes and credit terms.

About You:

We’re looking for a proven Sales/Account Manager who shares our passion for the construction, fit-out and refurbishment markets. You’ll need to have the tenacity, enthusiasm and can-do attitude to take this excellent product range and build solutions, excitement and commitment in your customers.

You will have experience in sales with a strong commercial track record.

In particular you’ll bring:

  • Sales and account management success – in a B2B sales environment
  • An impressive track record of driving sales via a consultative-selling approach
  • You’ll ideally have some experience in Construction or a related sector – or an interest you’d like to develop
  • Strong organisation skills and experience of working with CRM or similar systems
  • A strong work ethic and a passion for exploring new opportunities to build business with your customers
  • A full Driving Licence
