About The Role

Since the launch of the dedicated Defence team, we have seen rapid growth in the number of complex and diverse projects we have undertaken in partnership with industry, academia, and the MoD. Our team’s vision is to be the centre of excellence for composites in defence, and we are looking for unique individuals who can contribute to our high performing team.

We are looking for Technical Project Managers to take ownership of a portfolio of diverse defence nuclear projects within our public sector customer base. This will involve you developing a good working relationship with the customers as well as internally within the NCC engineering community to deliver their projects to time, cost, and quality.

You’re a strong Technical Project Manager, with proven experience of managing complex work packages from start to finish. You’ll work with key stakeholders to develop project plans and liaise with our technical and engineering resources to deliver tailored solutions. Existing security clearance or the ability to gain security clearance will be a requirement of the role.

So, what are we looking for?

  • You're a proven leader of technical projects, with experience of working on high-value, high-profile packages of work in an engineering context.
  • Composites knowledge is a bonus, but your passion for technology development will set you up for success.
  • We're open to candidates from all sectors, although, if you have experience of managing projects within the Defence sector, have experience of writing bid proposals and have existing Security Clearance, then we’d like to hear from you!
  • The position requires successful completion of MoD Developed Vetting (AP) Security Clearance.
  • The post is based within the NCC (Bristol) however will require infrequent travelling to secure partner facilities.

What do we offer in return?

  • Hybrid and flexible working as standard, annual salary reviews, company paid private medical insurance, up to 12.5% employer pension contribution, great people, honorary staff status at the University of Bristol. With a genuine focus on wellbeing, EDI and learning and development this is a chance to build your career in a thriving R&D facility with a bright future.

About The Company

Not sure you meet all the requirements? Let us decide! Research shows that women and members of other underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs if they think they may not meet every qualification, when in fact they often do.
