Studio Manager (Qualified Art Therapist)

Studio Upstairs needs an exceptional, self-motivated individual to join our Bristol team on Thursday.

The successful applicant will be experienced, qualified art therapist and a practicing artist. They will have a ‘can do’ attitude, capable of handling a multitude of tasks, and be able to stay calm under pressure.

This role will carry the primary responsibility for the creative process within the Visual Art Studio and for leading volunteers (trainees). The main purpose of the role is to facilitate a safe environment, which enables Studio Members to effect change and growth on a personal level through therapeutic relationships and through the use of art materials and processes.

Other responsibilities include: organising regular reviews of studio artists' artwork; being open to the emotional needs of the membership; providing individual support where necessary; helping organise exhibitions, events and facilitating monthly forums in the studio.

This is a freelance contract; fees are up to 21K per annum, pro-rata for one day per week between 9.45 - 5.15pm.

Clinical supervision will be provided. The post holder will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
