Football crazed Brits set to overload office computers

Over half of working Brits are planning to watch this summer’s world cup in work on their work PC. These leads to fears that computers will become overloaded and could shut down, putting work at risks and so companies profits at risk.

Technical experts have warned businesses that with employees watching the football on their PCs, this will cause the computers to slow down and possibly crash. This will seriously impact the performance of their business internet connection and therefore interfere with day-to-day business operations, costing the company’s profits.

Companies are being advised to ensure there are robust guidelines in place ready for the World Cup. It would perhaps be more beneficial to install a TV in the office for people to watch while they work, saving each individual computer the possibility of crashing and hopefully avoiding costs to profit margins.
