FAQ frequently asked questions Job Seekers

What can BristolJobs.co.uk do for me?
Everybody, at one time or another has been a job seeker. We have all looked through the newspapers wading through the jobs sections, on the national jobs boards, or gone door to door around agencies with our CV in hand.

Our website is designed to make this search less time-consuming by being a one-stop shop for vacancies in your geographical area. We provide vacancies posted by recruitment agencies and direct employers in 33 job sectors. Whether you are a Mechanic, Call Centre Operative, Salesperson, Accountant, Engineer or seeking a role in a warehouse, we will have jobs for you.

What we also ensure is the quality of the jobs that we post. All of our vacancies are genuine and within a commutable distance from Bristol. We want you to get full use of our website rather than find yourself filtering through poorly displayed or incompatible job descriptions.

How do I search for roles?
The website has been designed with functionality in mind. Therefore, there are many ways of searching for roles, signing up to e-mail alerts or registering. You can search by sector, job type (graduate/management/part-time/full-time), salary band and by keywords. However, should you have any queries, feel free to contact us via or by calling 0117 917 5250.

What happens when I apply for a position?
Your application will be sent via email to the company to whom you have applied. If they consider you suitable for the position, hopefully they will call or email you within several working days with further details.

What do I do if I lose my Username and/or Password?
Go to the login screen and click on 'Forgotten your password?'. Once you have completed the form, your user details will be e-mailed to your inbox (or junk folder depending on your mail provider). Please note your username is usually your e-mail address.
