Electronics Manufacturing Technician
Glos. Permanent. Salary £20k to £23k. You must be eligible to work in the UK. Our Client is the world's leading oilfield services company supplying technology, information solutions and integrated project management that optimises reservoir performance for customers working in the oil and gas industry. The role includes the following of routings and recording of test measurements on a PC-based system. 

Observe and report non-conformances. Mentor and train Entry-Level Technicians and actively participate in feedback on performance. Set-up, monitor and test components of a complex downhole drilling tool. Access engineering database and navigate to find the latest releases of drawings, specifications and assembly documentation. Actively monitor the entire work environment for out-of-revision documentation. Develop and conduct tests, measurements, procedures and programmes. Take responsibility for quality of work and actively pursue improvements to tooling and products. Support Lean and 5S improvements. Independently perform self-assessments. Understand metrics. Very good knowledge of electronic analogue and digital schematics and troubleshooting. 

Competent at soldering and general wiring skills, as well as detecting workmanship issues of downhole electronics equipment and processes. Good team working and communication skills. Able to lead small teams during specific tasks. Ability to apply basic arithmetic operations, compute ratio and rate, percentage, fractions and ratios, and calculate weights and measures. Ability to think and reason, solve problems, work with speed and accuracy, read with speed and comprehension, use mechanical reasoning, and work well with others. 

Possess a thorough understanding of tools at system level and able to correlate testing vs tool level performance. Capable of identifying waste in all its forms and reporting accordingly. Lead the safe workplace adherence and improvements regarding all risks, such as High Voltage and mitigation techniques. Follow documented Company procedures and encourage safe working in other employees. ONC/HNC/HND in Electronics or equivalent. Experience in the use of calculators, computers and related equipment, electronics test equipment and safety equipment.
