Technical Author
Glos. Contract. You must be a UK national and be fluent in spoken and written English. Sub-contract author for 3-months assignment preparing Army Equipment Support Publications and commercial standard Operator and Maintenance manuals.
Must have a mechanical or electrical engineering background with at least two years technical authoring experience. Ability to produce concise and accurate manuals from a variety of source information, predominantly engineering drawings. Ability to work to tight timescales. Knowledge of JSP (D) 543, (JSP180 series) and AESP 0100 series is essential, with practical experience of MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat. The successful candidate should preferably have security clearance or be willing to undergo security checks. Located mainly at the Company’s offices in Stonehouse but some travel to Clients’ sites may be required.
