Senior Process Engineer
Bristol. Permanent. Negotiable salary plus bonus plus private health care. You must be eligible to work in the UK and have fluent English. The job is to lead the Process Team in the implementation of process, quality and environment improvement projects. Effective deployment of equipment, manufacturing methods and systems to ensure that the company’s objectives for quality and capacity improvement and process cost reduction are met. Increasing Line Speed. 

Improving energy efficiency. Increasing stucco capacity. Make sound investment decisions. Progress project proposals to final decision-making stage. Implement projects after agreement of project plan. Lead cross-departmental improvement projects. Manage process area equipment calibrations. Manage plastermill SFCQP & PRS. Set priorities and work schedules for the Process Team members. Identify and lead process improvement projects involving manufacturing equipment, methods and systems. Directly supervise and coordinate the Quality and Process Team of the Plastermill lines. Define objectives and priorities, supplying resource and training. Foster effective communication with the production team. Carry out Risk Assessment and Safe Working for relevant section tasks. Monitor and report process energy consumption and work proactively to improve energy efficiency in the process area. Lead cross-departmental process improvement teams, including leading and managing departmental projects. Manage and administer recipes and process elements in accordance with Product Specification, Standard Practice and Conformity Index. Manage and control the calibration of process measuring equipment via COSWIN.

 Progressively reduce dust emissions to atmosphere from process plant. Maintain an up-to-date awareness of plant processes, best industry practice and appropriate equipment. Maintain regular contact with suppliers of process equipment including control and instrumentation equipment. Network with the Process function in other gypsum plants, sharing good practice. 

Provide on call assistance as part of the weekend management rota system, whilst supporting the Quality and Process team in their mid week callout support function. Degree or equivalent in Engineering. Good industry experience in a processing or manufacturing environment. Full driving licence required. Skill in French language desirable. Good communication skills. Well developed computer skills desirable. Team Player. Systematic approach with an ability to lead, train and motivate others.
