Offshore Hydraulics Technician
South Glos.
Permanent.
Generous salary dependent an experience.

Working 10 days a month offshore, with opportunities to work extra days. You must be eligible to live and work permanently in the UK.

Our Client is a multi-disciplined engineering company with a wide range of experience in oil, gas, petrochemical and water. They are an international market leader in the design and manufacture of control systems.

You will be an experienced offshore engineer, preferably with a hydraulics background alongside a strong foundation in preventive, reliability-centred and breakdown maintenance of well-head and associated offshore process equipment. You will have a deep-seated commitment to safety, health and the environment in the offshore oil and gas industry. Good communication skills both verbal and written. Strong experience in oil and gas industry maintenance with knowledge of maintenance management processes.

The job involves inspection, repair, refurbishment and testing. Look after the Company's interests at all times. Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business. System and function testing of hydraulic and pneumatic control panels. Completion of fittings take offs, tube and panel layouts, reading of drawings and assisting in the generation of procedures relating to the build and testing of projects. Corrective maintenance and faultfinding of Client hydraulic and pneumatic control systems. Installation of neat panel tube work and field installation tube work of good integrity in accordance with current UKOOA legislation. Calibration of relief valves, standard test gauges, pressure switches and pressure transmitters. Inspection, surveying and installation of flexible hose assemblies. Accumulator repair, inspection, Nitrogen pre-charging of bladder and piston accumulators and dampers and re-certification. Detailed completion of project reports, documentation and certification. Completion of client work orders, permits and timesheets correctly and to the satisfaction of SMS, the client and the end user.

Be prepared to depart offshore and overseas at short notice. Improve perception within the industry for hydraulic and pneumatic installation and faultfinding and preventative maintenance work. Maintain at all times working relationships which reflect professionalism and attention to detail. Interface with clients, client representatives, suppliers, external bodies and colleagues in a polite and courteous manner at all times. Demonstrate a continual and personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment.
