Complaints Handler (Financial Services)

As Client Liaison Officer your role is to investigate complaints in compliance with Regulator’s complaint handling rules, across life, pension, investment and mortgage products as well as performance related issues. You will conduct thorough investigations into complaints allocated, paying attention to the evidence held, and in the course of investigation liaise with the client and Partner to ensure all facts are established and make decisions on each complaint case and calculate compensation where applicable. You will be responsible for making recommendations for compensation relating to complaints and to communicate the decisions to the client or their representative and members of the Partnership.
You will also be responsible for identifying any trends or issues relating to the Partner and report these to Group Risk. Whilst in the process of investigating the complaint you will liaise with sales management, business risk, third parties such as accountants, solicitors, IFA’s, the Financial Ombudsman Service, Professional Indemnity Insurers and their solicitors and the Administration Centre, either in writing or by telephone. You will produce a detailed report to include the reasons for the decisions reached, recommendations for compensation and or further action.
The ideal candidate MUST have worked in a complaint handling role within the financial services industry and have good technical knowledge of pensions, investments, life and mortgage products. As a minimum you will be qualified to CF1 – 5 or equivalent and ideally you will hold or being studying towards the Diploma.
