At Fundraising Vision we pride ourselves on the great working environment we create for our fundraisers from brilliant office support and first rate charity training through to ongoing personal development and arranging exciting social activities to maintain a great team ethos. All of our Managers started as fundraisers so we know what we’re talking about, what works, what doesn’t and we invest our years of fundraising knowledge to help our fundraisers become the best they can be!
What does a Street Fundraiser actually do?
As a Street Fundraiser you will work within a small team led by an experienced Team Leader in busy shopping areas in and around Bristol and the south west. You will be approach and talk to members of the public telling them all about the wonderful work your assigned charity does and inspire them to donate on a regular basis by direct debit.
What does it take to become a Fundraiser?
You don’t need any specific qualifications or working background it really is all about you! To be a successful fundraiser you need to enjoy and be confident talking to people, you need to be inspiring and enthusiastic about your charity and you need to have lots of energy to keep yourself motivated throughout the day. Previous experience in sales or face to face customer service roles will prove very helpful. Some people take to fundraising like a duck to water and others take a little more time. Either way as long as you show your commitment to us we will provide you with all the training and support that you need.
A couple of things to consider:
You work in all weathers, you face constant rejection and you need an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to stay motivated but the feeling of achievement at the end of the day is truly amazing. There aren’t many jobs that pay you to help change the world!
Hours and Pay:
Our Fundraisers fundraise between 10.30am – 6pm Monday to Friday (no weekends!) but when fundraising outside of Bristol you will need to meet at an earlier time at Temple Meads train station where your Team Leader will organise (and pay) your travel for the day. Our fundraisers earn between £300-600 per week!
* Door Fundraiser positions also available; discussing your charity on the doorsteps of the general public. Monday to Friday 2-9pm.*
ALL applicant must be over 18 years old and eligible to work in the UK.
If fundraising sounds like something you would like to do then please apply online or if you would like an initial chat please call Kate at Fundraising Vision on 0117 966 5330 or 0117 966 5334.
Company Description
Fundraising Vision specialises in face-to-face fundraising; inspiring members of the public to become long term supporters of our charities including Mencap, World Vision, Barnardo's, Amnesty International and Christian Aid. Each year we help raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for these charities and it’s all down to our amazing fundraisers.
Through our rigourous and comprehensive training programme, people with little experience can become accomplished fundraisers and those of you that already possess the necessary skills can progress rapidly through to management positions.
Charity fundraising is becoming more important as the recession continues. Less money is available to help charities make a difference, but there can be more work for the charity to do.
